'Hummingbird Lives' exhibition...
|
|
My first solo exhibition 'Hummingbird Lives' has just finished, but will be the first of many I hope.
I was lucky enough to have my exhibition reviewed by The West Australian newspaper, if you'd like to read the review click here.
There are a few hummingbird paintings on this page, but I have also created a new Virtual Hummingbird Gallery to display all of the hummingbird paintings and sculptures from my recent exhibition in more detail. This separate Gallery is where some of the remaining hummingbirds are available for sale online. I've also just put together a few pictures of the exhibition for those who couldn't go to see it in person.

Before there were hummingbirds ......there were lots and lots of rubberduckies! These two are among my favourite rubberduckie pieces. I painted them in 1997 when I was still at art school.

 This is a not-very-good photo of a painting I did years ago about how it felt like my brain and muscles were melting in the hot weather (a textbook ME symptom though I had no idea about any of that at the time). The stripes of cool brown and purple represent the all too brief respite of summer nights.
